Thylacine Tephra XCr
I took delivery of my new roadie this week that I’ve been hanging out for a while as my old roadie was pretty much past it’s used by date. Emily (my new roadie) is one of the new Thylacine Tephra XCr road bikes which is new to the Thylacine road range for 2009.
As the name suggests, the Tephra XCr is made out of Columbus XRr stainless steel tubes.

Looks very nice! Classic build, hardy and no pretension. Any reason why you havn’t cut the steerer down? I always think this looks rather poxy and ruins the clean lines!

Thanks Nelo,
The bike was designed around having 100mm saddle to bar drop which is about where the bars are right now. I’ll do a few more rides then cut it down once I’m happy with the position of the bars.
I was going for a fairly subtle build, nothing to exotic or over the top. Working class build around a very nice frame.

I love that frame - so clean.
